While many little things have changed over the years, The Ceeps has maintained it’s true identity, a genuine university pub and a favorite for students and alumni.  Due to it’s proximity to Western, at one time,  it was the closest place to the university that students would frequent to unwind and be social. It even functioned as a hotel until the late 70s.

Over the years, students developed a short form and nickname out of the bar’s original name, The CPR Tavern and Hotel.  To this day there are some who still refer to it simply as “the hotel”.  “The Ceeps” is how it was referred to and it stuck,  eventually to be known as just that.  To many, that name brings back a flood of memories… a new school year, homecoming celebrations, blowing off steam after an exam and countless lively nights spent with good friends and staff alike.  The sense of nostalgia that The Ceeps has is amazing.  Current students still bring in visiting parents, who also attended Western,  to see if their names are still carved into one of our famous “big round wooden tables”.

To this day, The Ceeps really is the place where all are welcome and can feel at home.

You really do have to see it to believe it!!!  It’s Sledgehammer Bingo in the Ceeps!  Every Tuesday night we give you the gift of traditional bingo mixed with cocktails, tunes, pop culture and tons of laughs!! Come to the Ceeps to play for the honor of taking the Sledging platform, destroying some fruit and/or veg and a chance to take home some of the best of the worst prizes ever .  And new to Sledge this year is the “Straight From Granny’s Basement” feature.  Come one, Come all!  Saint Anna Nicole Smith and Michael Jackson want you to!

The biggest party night of the week takes place at the Ceeps! Seriously, it’s THE destination of choice for all looking for the best time on a Saturday night. The Ceeps is the meeting place for hundreds every Saturday, catch up with your friends, order a tray of draft (or whatever blows your hair back) and be a part of the best dance party in the city. DJ Matty spinning on the ones and twos gives you all that you ask for in music, setting the perfect atmosphere for all who came to move. Everything from UWO party anthems to the newest music and dope remixes. Top 40, Dance, Hip Hop, Rock… whatever you need and want is here. Arrive early, be ready for a big night and get off every Saturday night @ The Ceeps!
